Venezuelanity and memory
We recognize a nation with history, culture, thought and building experiences that must be studied. Memory has to transmit capabilities and allow criticism. Venezuelan identity is strengthened when its citizens can understand and discuss their past.
Legitimate authority
Venezuela needs security, justice, administration and infrastructure. The authority must act under public rules, have limits and be responsible for its decisions. The effectiveness of an institution is also measured by its ability to protect the rights of those who question the government.
Freedom and responsibility
We defend thought, expression, association, property and initiative. We demand that officials and citizens answer for their actions through impartial procedures. A cause that is presented as just does not grant immunity to its promoters.
Work and merit
Effort, training and competition must expand opportunities. The public service needs open criteria, selection by capacity and evaluation. Membership, kinship or loyalty should not determine access to a position.
Production and ownership
Lasting wealth requires investment, savings, predictable contracts, competence and knowledge. Oil revenues must support these capabilities. MVGA criticizes practices that turn the State into the permanent distributor of opportunities and the citizen into a dependent beneficiary.
Sovereignty and cooperation
We defend Venezuela's ability to decide its course and collaborate with allies through clear objectives. Political affinity does not equate to authorization, official endorsement or organizational link. Useful cooperation must strengthen national institutions.
Evidence and correction
A position can be firm and admit a mistake. The facts are documented; opinions are identified; quotes preserve authorship and context. When better evidence appears, the text is corrected and the update recorded.
